After 84 days or 12 weeks, my beautiful girls and husband are coming home!
We made the decision to separate as a family on Thursday 12th March 2020 after the Prime minister's statement, Boris said in his statement “we are going to lose some loved ones” our family response was “this loved one isn’t going anywhere” James and I have just got on with it, we have certainly had our highs and lows.
One thing we are grateful for is technology, thank goodness for FaceTime, it has been our saviour. We receive regular calls each day, some are homework questions others are domestic question, some are even to stop my girls from tearing each other apart as teenage sister do (ask my sister) but mostly the calls are full of love and special moments.
Despite us being apart, we are united and the love is shown to us both has been incredible, the calls are upbeat and thoughtful. We look forward to our evening calls the most as all three of them look into the camera at James and me, and we loving look back at them.
We haven’t been out of the house other than the garden for 84 days, to be honest, we haven’t felt the need. As we watch the country restart I fear for James and when will be ever getting out safely? Although we are excited to have them home, our time has been peaceful and sterile.
I have even had control of the tv remote and a lot less washing!
We are so so looking forward to them coming home and the buzz of family life, and the biggest group hug ever.
