Skiggle has been nominated for the ‘Community Organisation Award for Disability’ at the National Diversity Awards 2022!

Britain’s most inspirational and selfless people will come together to honour the rich tapestry of our nation, recognising individuals and groups from grassroots communities."
Skiggle is the only charity of its kind in the UK, which exists as a rescue service providing emergency access to disability and special needs care products and equipment. Co-founded by Preston women, Christine Singleton and Helen Taylor, the innovative charity operates an emergency SOS alert system and online marketplace – both of which offer vital support to disabled people, their families, and carers.
Upon hearing of the nomination, co-founder and Charity Development Manager, Helen said: “We started Skiggle for the very reasons awards such as the National Diversity Awards exist. To make sure people with disablilities are always able to have access to what they need, when they need it. And to give them the same opportunities to enjoy life as able-bodied people. Just spreading the word that a charity like Skiggle is out there can give people the peace of mind and encouragement to live their fullest, happiest lives. Think of Skiggle as a big safety net!”
